DALGO'S DESCENT

Description:

Escape from the evil birds' lair! Dalgo's Descent is a third person role playing game where players take control of Dalgo, a rabbit who has been seemingly kidnapped by the evil birds of this treehouse. Gather loot and powerful equipment, as you hack and slash your way down to the exit!

FEATURES:

-Randomly generated rooms with different enemies and loots!

-A variety of skills at your disposal, for you to mix up and experiment with!

-Hack and slash your way through the oncoming mob of birds and bird bosses!

-Meet God when you die!

-Get respawned by God!

-Disappoint God by dying again!!

*Dalgo's Descent was made in 2 weeks in the Unity Engine as a school project by a group of 8 people (4 programmers and 4 artists).*

MY ROLE IN THE PROJECT:

For Dalgo's Descent, I was tasked with the handling of the items and weapons available in the game for the player to loot, the spawning of chests in a procedurally generated level, and the way the inventory is handled. 

​

I was also given the responsibility of handling the logic of the chests (The UI that hovers over it, the random requirements to open certain chests), and the coins in the game (The spawning of it and its despawn animation).

​

I also coded the camera in a way to make it more dynamic (The camera zooms out more during combat, etc) and handled all the in game UI, the player stats, and the dialogue system in the game's game over sequence.
